Title: Smoked Trout in Cornbread

1lbHot smoked lake trout
1cMilk
1/4cShortening; melted
1 Egg; beaten
1tbSugar
3/4cFlour; sifted
1 1/4cCorn meal
4tsBaking powder

Flake fish. Sift together corn meal, flour, baking powder and sugar. Combine egg, milk and shortening. Add liquids to the solids and mix just enough to moisten. Stir in fish.
